The YSA - Worth Supporting!
Because the YouthSection in Australia runs purely on a voluntary basis, we constantly require funds for travel, publicity and other expenses. This money helps keep the ball rolling and lets our community grow. We depend on the kind support of many people to continue to do our work.
If you would like to contribute to the YSA, there are a few things you should know:
Where does my money go?
Money donated to the YSA can go to any of three places:
- The Association for the YSA
- The Ruth Ainsworth Bequest Fund
- Directly to young people through SophiaVision
The Association for the YSA
The Association was set up to help with organising conferences and running the YSA's ongoing activities such as general publicity (such as this website), the mailing list, and the newsletter. Your money helps to make sure these things keep happening. Organising of conferences is a big drain on our finances so your donation is greatly appreciated.

The Ruth Ainsworth Bequest
The Bequest was given to the YouthSection in 2006 to help with big projects and long term iniatives. Money from the bequest helps to send YSA members overseas to conferences and training as well as get projects such as the Youth Imagineering Program started in Australia
The Ruth Ainsworth Bequest is managed by a group of people including members of the Anthroposophical Society and the YouthSection. Your money is received by the Association for the YSA and passed on to the bequest.

SophiaVision
SophiaVision was set up for our first conference in 2005 to help young people with the money to attend. It lets donors give directly to individuals and form a personal relationship with that person - something which could become a lasting friendship.
SophiaVision does not require an immediate donation. Your details are passed on to young people looking for financial support to attend conferences (YSA and others).
